Now that I have your attention—no, I'm not here to throw swear words in your face early on a random Friday. Hear me out.
Lately, I've been getting a lot of inquiries about brand strategy, logo design and web design and it's so exciting (and humbling) to say that I'm booked out several months for these services! But this meant that I needed to get my calendar in order so that I don't risk overbooking and overextending myself.
When I was creating my upcoming project schedule and blocking out the weeks for each client, I noticed that I was abbreviating the words "brand strategy" to "B.S." —which is so cringy. But hey, time is valuable and I'm not going to waste my time and mental energy on spelling out each and every word for an internal document that nobody else was going to see or use.
The thing is, brand strategy is definitely not B.S. It is the blueprint for your business—from how you visually present yourself to the world through logos and graphics, to how you speak to and interact with your clients, and all the touch points in between.
I've said it before, and I'll keep shouting it from the rooftops. Your brand is so much more than a fancy logo design and a catchy company name; it’s the foundation on which you can build your entire business. Every strong brand, every familiar logo, every identifiable image should be constructed with a strategic purpose in mind.
We are Rooted in Strategy
Brand strategy is the starting point for all branding projects that we take on here at Branch. We get to the core of your business before ever starting the design phase. It‘s just that important!
So What Does Brand Strategy Look Like?
During the brand strategy phase, we get together and talk through every little detail of your company to unpack WHO you are and WHAT you are about, including:
Target Audience Research
You vs. The Competition
After our strategy session, I‘ll curate a customized brand strategy document and presentation that will act as the guide and launching point for the visual design phase (when we get to start creating the logos, fonts, colors, print pieces, and web design).
Why Do Businesses Need It?
Everything about your brand should be intentional. When you take the time to invest in a solid brand strategy, you are taking the time to invest in making a plan for your brand.
“A brand is a person’s gut feeling about a product, service or company.” - Marty Neumeier, The Brand Gap
Through brand strategy, you are giving yourself the opportunity to help shape people's gut feelings and perceptions of who you are as a company. All businesses, no matter their size or how long they've been established, need a strategy (a plan!) in place to create a brand that is purposeful—a brand that speaks to and connects with their dream clients.
Strong brands are rooted in strategy. They are developed with a purpose in mind. And we‘re here to help you every step of the way.
Let's get together and create some really great B.S. for your company! 😉 Simply fill out our contact form and we'll be in touch to setup an introductory call to learn more about your company and determine if we're a great fit for the job.
